Community Sevice at Kishkinta - Tr. Rajiv Shah, RT 181

Dear Tablers & Friends,
Greetings from MKRT 181
We MKRT 181 had organized a picnic at KISHKINTHA for the children.s of our Long Term Project
School .Siragu. along with the help of Rajasthan Youth Association on the 6th of Jan 2008.
The same was organized by the Rajasthan Youth Association under their scheme .Food for All.
and the same was coordinated by Tr. Vinay of our table.
This was one fabulous event where 295 children.s participated with about 30 Escorts for the Children.s
to ensure there safety. The day started with 5 buses coming to pick up the kids and escorts from there
school premises in Avadi (The Buses were sponsored by the SRM Eng. College) at morning
9.00am the kids then were safely seated in the buses and the journey begined to KISHKINTHA.
The journey was made fun with the kids divided in teams and playing Antakshri en-route to the venue.
The same was so much fun that it seemed as if the distance traveled was very fast. Having reached
there the kids were given T-shirts and caps to be worn displaying the message .Food for All.. The
volunteers from Siragu were given lunch and dinner packets to be distributed to all Kids.
The Kids then were given free time to enjoy the Facility at the Park and have as much fun as possible.
After lunch the Kids were asked to assemble for a brief speech by the Chief Guest and chocolates and
Snacks were distributed. The kids were again given free time to enjoy and play.
The day however had to end with every kid protesting to leave the volunteers had a tough time
convincing them. However the very smile on their face said a lot of things words could not have
expressed. The buses were boarded again and the journey back to the school began this time on a
more sober term as the kids were tired after an eventful day.
We would like to thank the Rajasthan Youth Association and Tr. Vinay for the Fantastic programme.
The same was covered in press by The HINDU.
Regards,
Chairman
Madras Knights Round Table 181
